There are hundreds of options to clean glass. You can choose a chemical ridden version, or you can make your own…
There are so many recipes, though it’s difficult to know which one will do the best job and save the most money. I am here to tell you the very best way to clean glass does not come from the store or even your own homemade concoction, and it almost hurts my heart to say it because I love homemade concoctions.
What’s more, I like to painstakingly alter homemade concoctions until they are the absolute best, but nothing I could make could come close to the streak free shininess of this nifty little trick.
WATER & MICROFIBER CLOTHS
Yeah, it’s way too simple right?
I learned this from an incredible friend of mine who owns a house cleaning business, so she’s pretty much the best! Yes, she helps me clean my house while our kids play. No, you may not steal her from me.
This mirror was just cleaned, but my sweet little 4 year-old likes to help mommy clean the house by spraying everything with water. So now it’s not in the best shape.
The secret to really clean glass is microfiber cloths. I got mine at Costco. I love them because they are super thick. I have also seen them at Home Depot. I do shop other places besides Costco and Home Depot, I promise.
All you do is…
- Wet one corner, leave the rest dry
- WITH WET CORNER: Use it to wipe all the gunky stuff from the glass.
- DRY: Use the dry part to dry it completely.
The secret to no streaks (no matter what product you use) is getting it dry enough, and the microfiber is perfect for that.
Easy peasy! No mixing or concocting; just beautiful, streak-free glass!
